Looks awesome Steve, I need to try some more tutorials, thanks to you I feel a little more confident with what I've done! Glad to see you back! And yes, people need to get off the PC and Go Outside! Sometimes that creates the best inspiration for some design!! :)

Thanks for the constructive criticism. :sarcasticclap: One cannot please the masses with a wallpaper or any piece of art for that matter. And I realize that. But maybe you should work on your critiquing etiquette. Since you obviously feel that you are in the position to judge some ones work then please take the time to explain what it is that you "hate" and what YOU would have done to make it better. Tell me what you think needs improvement or how it made you feel. And why are you sorry? If you dont like it then simply skip it...dont download it...dont look at it. Its really that simple. Here is a guide to help you [link] or this one [link] Read it...learn it and apply it and then maybe you will gain some respect in the artist community. You would think that after being on this site for over 3 years now that you would have at least learned these things. This is somthing that I would expect from a 14 year old that was just starting out in the art world but not from a 3 year veteran of this site. Which probably means that you wont take a bit of my advice now...since you havent learned this already, but maybe someday you will learn this lesson. :) Enjoy your day and thank you for your view.

Ha! Amen to that last bit. XDD Most definitely. Sometimes it's hard not to get caught up in it and especially like you mentioned, remember that most users are still quite young so... and dot dot dot. :paranoid:

It's a shame they have a computer and in place of parents. :iconsadnod: (thereIsaidit)

Alright, let's say i'll learn your lesson and write a proper comment next time, sadly, i'm an arrogant prick. And since you got the whole oh-constructive-criticism-please-thing going on i guess i can start with telling you to stop using tutorials, seriously, that's what makes me sick about the stuff around here. I can tell that your wallpaper is based on Shinybinary's Fluid tutorial that he did for some issue in Digital Arts. Or perhaps just inspired on something that pretty much looks, like this one too [link]
Anyhow, my point is, it's not original anymore. Tutorials are for learning how to do certain things, which can be really useful when using professional software like Ps. Now that doesn't mean that they should be used for making exact copies of something, or using a crapload of brushes to get things done, only to upload them onto some site and get people to go crazy by going: Wallpaper pack here folks! just come n' grab 'em 11 resolutions for your viewing pleasure! Ridiculous.
Now if you want details: work on the colors, use swatches to choose colors first, to alter the entire picture: color balance works just fine. Apply Sharpen and lower the opacity. The shadows look a little bit weird, but that kinda makes the object look more irregular which is good. The text on the background is misleading. Oh and remember that the background is just as important as the object you put on top of it, use a texture or alter a picture, something like that. It's crucial. And i'd probably have chosen another font for the main text as well..
There, i hope that helps. I guess now i'm in the position of saying that your work isn't wallpaper-worthy at all

Yup, I totaly agree with you, couldnt say better myself, you realy are an arrogant prick! :D

On the other hand, you are maybe right, but hey, i never said that Im full of experience in the design area..but then again, i feel just fine, great actualy, after the look in your gallery :D

Damn...& you are at DA for 3 years...& yet learned shit..sad bro...just sad...
Must add that all those hidden comments on your main page look really interesting :D

Yeah i've been registered for 3 years, so what? am i supposed to learn? accept the fact that everyone thinks they're designers? Jeeez you people, it's a horrible wallpaper. THE END.

Ps. All those comments are either people asking for permission to use some of my stuff/people thanking for the devWatch. Dude, you're 32, do you really take dA that seriously?

You need to learn some respect or stay the hell off my pages. And if you cant time to read a rebuttal ( [link] <- in case your not sure what that is ) then get lost. And I DO take it that seriously. Do you realize how much money I have made from this site? Not all of us sit around and tinker in photoshop in our bedrooms and go around making dumbass remarks on peoples art. If you dont take it seriously or want to learn you will fail as a designer. If indeed that is what you think you are. This conversation isnt about the wallpaper its about your dumbass attitude. If you want to play...go play on facebook or myspace. If you want to learn then stick around. And trust me hero you have a lot of learning to do.

See, you missed the point. I'm not calling you a bad designer, i'm not saying i don't take design seriously. It's the wallpaper i don't like, it's discussing with some 36-year-old guy what i think is pretty pathetic.
