This is an awesome tutorial..

I mean I've seen others using the displacement map and this may sound a little stupid but when I use the displace filter.. nothing shows up..

Any ideas why nothing happens after I've used the filter?

These tutorials are great because there's always a nice tip or trick gleaned from them! I've used displacement maps before and always puzzled about the horizonal/vertical numbers... this tut helped with that... :D

oh yes....I have seen that tut...its a rather advanced method of using a dmap. Its a good tut except you have to read through all of his BS jokes and try to stay focused on the tutorial. It also involves alpha channels which is another ball game. I really wouldn't recommend trying to do that one until you get a little more familiar with PS...It just involves a lot more then Dmaps.
